PADI Discover Scuba Diver (DSD)

 

 

A quick and easy introduction into what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you will learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver.

We would love to take you diving to experience this wonderful sport.

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.

While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

You will learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of one of our PADI Professionals.

You will:

​

• Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it.

​

• Find out what it’s like to breath underwater and get comfortable doing it.

​

• Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take    the next step

​

• Be supplied with the eLearning Materials You Need.

​

   Have fun swimming and exploring underwater.

Who can do the course?

 

Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Discover Scuba Diver certification.

 

You must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. (able to swim)

• If you have pre-existing medical conditions that may affect you when diving you will need clearance from a physician. Please see PADI Medical for the medical questionnaire.

• Dive equipment use during course

• eLearning online theory training and certification costs

• 2 Open Water Ocean Boat Dives at Cook Island or the outer reefs off Tweed Heads — nice!

• Pool option available.
