PADI Dive Master
Take the first step in your dive career—become a PADI Divemaster!
Working closely with a PADI instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
What can PADI Dive Master do?

Work at local dive centres, on live-aboard dive boats, and at exotic dive resorts anywhere in the world!

Help PADI instructors teach students.

Lead PADI scuba divers on guided dive tours, and Discover Local Diving Experiences.

Teach and certify PADI skin divers.

Teach PADI Discover Scuba Review Programs for certified divers.

Lead certified divers on Teach Emergency First Response programs (after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor Course).
The course
You will learn:

learn dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions

complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water
-
complete training exercises to test organisational and problem solving abilities

complete an internship or series of practical training exercises.
Who can do the course?
You must:

be at least 18 years of age

have a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, or qualifying certification from another training organisation

have PADI Rescue Diver certification, or qualifying certification from another training organisation.

have medical clearance signed by a doctor

have completed at least 20 logged dives.
How long will it take?
The course takes between 2 weeks and 3 months, so you can learn at your own pace.
